Finish Breast Cancer Everywhere, Together
In June 2019 I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. It has been a roller coaster of a journey, with amazing support from family and friends.
I’m blessed to be part of a clinical trial for a triple negative breast cancer vaccine at The Mayo Clinic. The vaccine trial was made possible in part by The Donna Foundation, which has donated over $3M to The Mayo’s breast cancer program. As one of the least common form of breast cancer, triple negative does not have high levels of research funding. As the most aggressive and difficult to treat form of breast cancer, more needs to be done.
While I can bear the cost of participating in the clinical trial and accessing the incredible care through The Mayo, not every person with this disease can do so.
I am going to finish The Donna Marathon (half marathon distance) this coming February to raise funds so that research can be expanded and that more women can access the care that I’ve received. Beyond its support of the triple negative clinical trial, The Donna Foundation has assisted over 10,000 patients access care or ease their day to day concerns while fighting this disease.
I believe in a future where cancer can be eradicated. Please join me in making this future possible.
